How Eye Institutes are Making their Patients Look Younger

Eye institutes and plastic surgery usually do not go hand in hand. However, what if an eye institute could not only help correct your vision, but also erase the lines around your eyes and the aging in your face? For many, this sounds too good to be true, but there are some eye institutes that can make this happen.

Lines around the eyes, often referred to as crow's feet, appear when a person must squint to see clearly. Over time, these lines thicken and can make a person appear older than they are. Therefore, treatment is provided at some eye institutes to help correct these lines, along with the poor vision that causes them to appear.

The following are three ways eye institutes can make you look younger.

Vision Correction Surgery – Lines caused by squinting and straining to see clearly can be lessened through permanent vision correction. Surgeries, such as laser eye surgery, and lens implants are just a few examples of how your vision can be permanently improved. New technology lens implants are the latest development in vision repair surgery, and allow a lens, similar to your natural lens, be implanted to correct any damage or cloudiness that may be causing your vision to blur. By clearing up your vision, you reduce the amount of strain put on your eyes, and thereby reduce the amount of aging on your face.

Botox Treatment – This is something that is surprising to many, but Botox is sometimes offered in eye institutes to help lift the skin around the eyes so it appears healthy again. When your eyes strain to see something up close or far away, the squinting affects the skin around your eyes, causing fine lines. Lines on your forehead also appear when you squint, and can look like frown lines, or wrinkles around your face. Botox will strengthen the skin in these areas to restore a youthful glow.

Microdermabrasions – For a skin treatment that removes dead skin cells and puts vitality back into your healthy skin, you might choose microdermabrasion. This treatment is pain free and involves deep exfoliation of the skin. It is offered as a way to remove dead cells and strengthen existing skin cells to reduce the appearance of lines. This treatment is offered in many forms, including over-the-counter substitutes; however, some eye institutions provide this as a treatment to their customers who want to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles caused by eyestrain.
While eye institutes focus first and foremost on the health of your vision, they do provide extra benefits to those clients who seek to reduce the other effects their weak vision has had on their skin and appearance. For this reason, more eye institutes are beginning to offer ways to help their patients look younger.
